Babymoons: a special time with your new baby
In many cultures throughout time and around the world, the first month of a new baby's life is a time when the new mother is pampered and encouraged to rest and care for herself and her new baby. But in American culture, it seems that by the time the baby's cord stump falls off, mom is expected to be back to business as usual. A "babymoon" can be a special time for new mom and baby to take time out from life as usual to focus in on themselves, to heal from birth, and to learn how to breastfeed.
