Exercise safely, help keep mom & baby healthy, prepare for birth!
During pregnancy, many women are motivated to improve their health, as a way to care for themselves and their babies. Aerobic exercise helps to prevent or reduce common discomforts of pregnancy such as constipation or hemorrhoids. It also helps you build or maintain stamina for childbirth. Special toning exercises prepare your muscles for the work of birthing your baby. Along with adequate rest, learning relaxation techniques, drinking plenty of water, and eating well, exercise is one of the best ways you can care for yourself and your baby during your pregnancy!

learn special toning exercises to prepare your body for the work of childbirth
discuss changes in body image during pregnancy
make a plan to include beneficial exercises in your daily and weekly routines, especially how dads or other birth partners can be involved
This class is intended for healthy expectant mothers and their birth partners and is open to the general public. It is not intended for women at risk of preterm labor or who have medical reasons prohibiting exercise.
"The specific stretches and squatting exercises have been very good. I also liked being encouraged to exercise. I knew I should, but had not started before taking the class." --comments from an expectant mom several weeks after taking the class
