Certified Fertility Educator (CFE)

Certifications

must be a currently certified

Natural Family Planning

instructor, or recently retired

certified NFP instructor

(Sympto-Thermal Method)

(within 12 months)

same as a CFE

same as a CFE and CFA, plus:

certification as a

Professional Herbalist or Wellness Coach

Areas of Responsibility

teaches

Fertility MattersTM Method classes;

can provide student follow up

in areas without CFAs or CFMs

fertility counseling for couples

in FMM programs

"fertility midwife" services for couples

in FMM programs (counseling plus

fertility support and/or enhancement)

Areas of Expertise

Natural Family Planning

instruction and counseling;

chart interpretation and analysis;

home study course counselors;

can give basic

natural fertility support

as outlined in FMM counseling manual

same as a CFE, plus:

special training in recognizing

a variety of cycle irregularities,

and suggestions for

natural fertility support

and enhancement;

home study course counselors

same as the CFE and CFA, plus:

can use natural (non-pharmacological,

non-surgical) means to support

and/or enhance fertility, including

herbal or botanical medicines
